Surfing Lessons & Associations

Surfing lessons are a good idea, but can be hard to find. Call your local surf shop to find out if there are instructors offering surfing lessons in your area. Another option is to learn to surf while on vacation. Florida and Hawaii have some great beaches to learn on. Waikiki beach is a wonderful beach for a beginner. The waves are small, the ride is long, and the bottom is fairly sandy.
